The Rooftop

Nomination: 401 Richmond Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Why? The Artist Gardens located on the rooftop of this creative re-claimed brick and beam building in downtown Toronto strikes the perfect pitch between unadorned wild garden setting and artistic expression.
Details? It's free access, and there's wireless if you choose to take your work with you.

Also, a great place to kiss and hold hands with your honey.

Rooftops. I'd argue that they are bar none one of the most romantic locations in the world. The physical effect of being on the top of a building always makes you feel like you are emotionally top of the world. I've always admired the Greeks. They put all their restaurants on rooftops or nestle them in cliffs. I remember spending some time in the whitewashed sparkling little island of Santorini, Greece and thinking, this is one of those things North Americans never really got right.

Thankfully, with the advent of eco friendly businesses, and focus put on sustainability and therefore better usage of our space and resources, North America is beginning to use their space a little better. And thankfully, this means that this little top of the world location makes it as a first nomination on the places to kiss roster.
